Love Quest International Church family is a non-denominational church that believes Jesus Christ is perfect theology. “If you had known me you would've known My Father also” John 14:7.
We believe that we are to continue to build and function upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, move in Spirit led and Truth filled worship. Building a house that shifts atmospheres, regions and mindsets. We are a church family of breakthrough believers who are free indeed, hosting the presence of God and experiencing the tangible evidence
that OUR KING LIVES. Ephesians 2:19 - 22; John 4:23, 24
We believe Our Father is rebuilding in and through Christ the House of David, not merely a physical building, but a people, His Church. A people of ALL NATIONS that worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, with a heart of repentance and of faith and are unashamed to celebrate the faithfulness and lovingkindness of our King. A breakthrough body of believers that don’t mind contending for it’s region, country and the world. Acts 15:16, 17; John 4:24; Psalm 51
We desire to be a supernatural church, composed of supernatural people, doing supernatural things, in a 5-star manner. We are workers together with Christ, building and discipling people of purpose, power, praise, and faith. WE ARE A LIFE SHAPING, WORLD CHANGING, TRANSFORMATIONAL MACHINE, building strong families, while reaching out to the unsaved, the untaught and the un-churched. We believe we are SENT ONES to the Greater Vancouver Region and the country of Canada to LOVE All Nations, EQUIP the Church, MOBILIZE the Equipped and SERVE all.
We believe and partake in:
WATER BAPTISM
Jesus said, “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
Baptism symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and our own relationship to His victory over sin, death and the grave (Romans 6:35). The one being baptized is presenting himself as a dead person to be buried with Christ, saying, “I am finished with the old life. I want to live in the power of the Resurrected Life of Jesus. I will be loyal to the kingdom of God.”
Baptism means the ability to face God with a clear conscience, for there is in every true baptism the virtue of Christ’s rising from the dead. (I Peter 3:21) We must be very careful not to conclude that baptism saves. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “By grace are you saved through faith.” We are not saved by church membership, faithful attendance, the Lord’s supper, or baptism, or all of these things put together. We entrust ourselves to Jesus Christ as our Savior and He alone has the power to save.
THE LORD’S SUPPER (HOLY COMMUNION)
Jesus said, “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed it and broke it, and gave it to them and said, Take, eat, this is my body. And then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, This is my Blood of the new covenant which is shed for many. Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” Mark 14:22-25
WHAT IS THE LORD’S SUPPER?
There is a paradox here. The feast, as it was celebrated in the Bible, was always eaten with two simple elements, bread and the fruit of the vine. The Lord has chosen two common and ordinary elements to remind us whenever we eat them, of His sacrifice and love for us. While these elements become especially meaningful at the time of communion, they are also there to remind us of this love at every meal of the day. The paradox is, that though the elements are only natural food, the Lord has caused us to think of them as representing His Body and Blood. We, who are saved, who are covered by the Blood of the Lamb and who are part of the Body of Christ, are instructed at this time to judge ourselves rightly so that we will not be judged (I Corinthians 11:31). Thus, we are provided a special time for repentance.
WHY WE PARTICIPATE IN THE LORD’S SUPPER?
The Lord Himself commanded us to do this! The Apostle Paul wrote, “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread….(and) took the cup also saying. Do this in remembrance of Me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” I Corinthians 11:23-26
How should we come to the table? We should be examining our lives. We should not hesitate to set things right with our fellow believers and with the Lord. We should come with a heart of repentance. We should know we are loved unconditionally. We should know that WE ARE FREE INDEED!
DELIVERANCE
Deliverance is not an option and freedom in a bound world is a gift from the grace of God. The core of Jesus' ministry is the work of deliverance unto freedom. We are Free Indeed! Being free and experiencing that freedom in our everyday lives are two different things. We are a family that work to enter His Rest, that we may experience the freedom that Jesus Christ died for us to experience. By His redemptive work, through the power of the blood shed for us, He has conquered sin and death thats why we shout with a voice of triumph. John 8:32, 36; 1 John 3:8; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57; Psalm 47
CELEBRATION
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!
We purpose to create an environment of joy and celebration. We have the victory and if that is true it should be apparent. We believe there is power in our praise, our dance, our clap and our united voices. Here we don’t have to be ashamed to lift our voices, dance, make a joyful noise, cry out, clap or lift our hands. We say GIVE HIM PRAISE, HE IS SO GOOD! Psalm 22:3; Psalm 47; Psalm 149:3; Psalm 150; Exodus 15:20; 2 Samuel 6:12-16; Psalm 133; Romans 1:16
APOSTOLIC AND PROPHETIC MINISTRY
Early in 2010 God began to expose to us the importance of the restoration of the apostolic, the prophetic, and Davidic worship ministry into the life of the local church. During this time, several key prophetic and apostolic voices imparted into Love Quest International Church. One of the major messages of our church has been the restoration and foundation of the apostles and prophets, apostolic nature and functioning ministry, while embracing Davidic worship, and the demonstration of tangible evidence of the Kingdom of GOD in the earth.
Ephesians 2:19- 22
19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household.
20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.
21 In Him the whole structure is joined (bound, welded) together harmoniously, and it continues to rise (grow, increase) into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, consecrated, and sacred to the presence of the Lord].
22 In Him [and in fellowship with one another] you yourselves also are being built up [into this structure] with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.
THE GIFT AND BAPTISM BY THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS
The gift to the world is salvation through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the greatest gift to the world of all time. Once we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour He has personally given us the gift and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was baptized in water, the baptism of John the Baptist, one of repentance. But Jesus came to the world for a New testament believer to be filled with power and the same spirit that raised Him from the dead to live in us. The Spirit of Truth, leading us into all truth, connecting heaven and Earth as He knows God’s heart and ours. The Holy Spirit is what makes us bold, He distributes the Gifts of The Spirit so the world can know and see that our God is not dead but ALIVE. The Holy Spirit regenerates us, sanctifies us, cultivates the fruit of the Spirit so that we walk as believers in distinguishing qualities. The Holy Spirit is what takes us from being merely christians, church goers, doing and saying all the right things, to a daily walk in authority, carrying out The Work of THE KINGDOM, one of POWER, LOVE AND PEACE! THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS is a necessity in the end times if the church will have true impact in such darkness. The Holy Spirit is who heals, delivers and sets free, manifesting THE KINGDOM OF GOD, according to the words of Jesus in Matthew 12:28. If we desire to be a church of power and Kingdom results, this is not an option, even Jesus was Baptized with the Holy Spirit and with John's baptism Matthew 3:11 - 16.
HOW WILL WE DO THE SAME AND GREATER WORKS THAT JESUS DID WITHOUT HIS EMPOWERING PRESENCE?
John 14:12
12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father. Mark 16:17 - 20
Acts 1:8
8 But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.
Acts 19: 1- 5
1 While Apollos was in Corinth, Paul went through the upper inland districts and came down to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.
2 And he asked them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed [on Jesus as the Christ]? And they said, No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.
3 And he asked, Into what [baptism] then were you baptized? They said, Into John’s baptism.
4 And Paul said, John baptized (water) with the baptism of repentance, continually telling the people that they should believe in the One Who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus [having a conviction full of joyful trust that He is Christ, the Messiah, and being obedient to Him].
5 On hearing this they were baptized [again, this time] in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you in (with) water because of repentance [that is, because of your changing your minds for the better, heartily amending your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins]. But He Who is coming after me is mightier than I, Whose sandals I am not worthy or fit to take off or carry; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
Jesus is the gift to the world (unsaved), Holy Spirit is the Gift to the believer (saved).
Luke 11:13
If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts [i]that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and [j]continue to ask Him!
John 14:16 - 18, 26
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—
17 The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart... but the world can receive Jesus), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.
26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.
John 16:7 - 14
7 However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].
8 And when He comes, He will convict and convince the world and bring demonstration to it about sin and about righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God) and about judgment:
9 About sin, because they do not believe in Me [trust in, rely on, and adhere to Me];
10 About righteousness (uprightness of heart and right standing with God), because I go to My Father, and you will see Me no longer;
11 About judgment, because the ruler (evil genius, prince) of this world [Satan] is judged and condemned and sentence already is passed upon him.
12 I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now.
13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].
14 He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you.
The Holy Spirit comes so we can GO & DO!
